5 Things that Embarrass Women About Their Bodies

Women are embarrassed about their bodies more than men.  From childhood, we are taught what is the norm and we compare ourselves to others in our community.  Here are the 5 things that women are most often embarrassed about.

Things they can’t change.

Women begin picking themselves apart as children.  It begins when they start socializing with other children and learn that there are other variations of human out there.  Early on, we all decide if we are “too short”, “too tall”, our hair is “too curly” or “too straight”.  These are characteristics that will be with us for our entire lives, no matter how we mask them (wear high heels, straighten our hair, etc.).  Women must either decide to accept themselves and the things they cannot change, or spend a lifetime of time, money, and frustration trying to change the unchangeable.

Things they can change.

Every woman is embarrassed about unwanted hair somewhere on her body, at some point in her life.  Today, permanent hair removal procedures make this a problem that can be changed.  Unsightly birthmarks, pigment differences on the skin, and scars are all things that can be embarrassing, but also can be changed.

Motherly things.

Stretch marks, c-section scars, and changing breasts all come with the joyous arrival of baby.  Many women get stressed out about what their partners, the ones who helped make the baby, will think about the new “imperfections” on their bodies.  Often, the women are so embarrassed about these changes, they will have a negative effect on the intimacy that made making a baby so much fun in the first place.

Smelly things.

Secretions increase with age.  Arm pits, soles, and “feminine places” all tend to emit embarrassing odor that can be masked, but that doesn’t make them any less embarrassing.  Finding the right daily routine and products is the only way to relieve the worry and stress of possibly being smelly.

Things that just change with time.

Let’s face it, your metabolism isn’t what it used to be, but you still enjoy eating all the same foods.  That means you will inevitably grow a belly, saddlebags, and/or a cellulite dimpled bottom.  Gravity is also tougher than it used to be and will pull down the skin on your body, especially your face, in time.  These are things that just happen through time and it is nobody’s fault.  Fortunately, there are non-surgical procedures that can help improve the look of aging skin and extra weight.  Women no longer have to be stressed out about these changes.  Now, women can have a procedure that will make them feel proud, instead.
