Epi-Dermaplaning, sometimes known as epidermal or blading, is a safe and non-invasive way to help rejuvenate skin. This exfoliation is a manual scraping that helps remove skin’s top dead layers and minor imperfections.
The actual procedure takes approximately 45 minutes. The process starts with a deep cleanse. A sterile surgical blade is then used, at a 45 degree angle, and stroked in a manner similar to shaving.
This method removes the outermost layer of dead skin cells, leaving the skin smooth and supple. Because it removes the dead skin, dermaplaning is excellent when combined with other services. This services include hydrating facials, chemical peels or rejuvenating laser treatments. Vellus hair, sometimes referred to as peach fuzz, is removed during the treatment.
The immediate result is fresh, bright skin revealed and a smoother look and feel to the skin. This treatment is recommended for all skin types and tones. The exception to ideal candidates is those who suffer from acne. This treatment is safe and effective for pregnant or nursing women.
